Brief

The client will be sponsoring the internet café at an upcoming symposium. They require a gateway page to be the default homepage on the café computers. This page will capture some information from the users before giving them full access to the internet.

Approach

A .net site was put together as the default home page for the PCs, data was captured to a SQL database. The client had an administration interface whereby they could login and download the captured visitor information. Registry information on the café PCs was updated to lock-in the gateway page.

Outcome

The gateway site was a great success; the client was able to capture a great deal of visitor information and the method of data-capture was well received by the users.
