Brief
Create a method for internal teams to share Anatomical Charts globally, without having to rely on manually contacting the anatomical charts division for assistance.
Approach
A file sharing system was developed and deployed for use over the internet, secured with a username and password for internal use. Users can log in and use advanced search techniques to locate the chart they need to download. The full Anatomical Charts library of material is available to the system. Thumbnail previews and other details for files are available. A user can click to select files to add to their collection; this collect is held while the user’s visit is in progress. Any number of files can be added and subsequently removed during the user’s visit.
Outcome
The project turned around an underused division of the organisation; the Anatomical Charts resources. The ease, with which the files could be shared globally as a result of the system, meant that demand increased dramatically for the charts and they became an invaluable resource across the organisation.
